A beautiful sunny day welcomed the riders on the final morning of the Oudtshoorn MTB Marathon 2013. It was smiles all around after the prior two extreme windy days. The day promised fast times and the riders did not disappoint. Bert Ver Linde (03H27:07) won the third day but it was not enough to catch Timo Cooper and Timo was crowned the Male Champion with an overall time of 11H18:49 for the three days of racing.
Miriam Stronkhorst (03H44:40) totally dominated the female category and won all three days to be crowned the Female Champion with an overall time of 12H59:53.
On the Half Marathon the Day rider Louis Visser (02H12:58) gave the two leaders Paul Els (02H12:48) and Kobus Wagner (02H12:47) a bit more competition, but the overall winner Paul Els was pure class and he won with an overall time of (06H22:16). Kobus Wagner won the third day as he did the second day with a sprint, but it was not enough to gain on the 1st day lead that Kobus had.
Sanri Immelman also dominated the Female Category and she won all three days and her overall time was 07H18:12.
